The first time I strung words together was when I was three. It was a poem in my mother tongue, Marathi, about a spider who hates taking pills.

It was this love for bringing words together, regardless of the language, and telling stories about the world around me that brought me to advertising.

But in the 15 odd years that I have spent in this ever-changing, multi-faceted industry, I have been able to learn much more than writing well.

Through these years, I have had the opportunity to be a part of not just network agencies such as the DDB Mudra Group and BBH India but also creative shops like Taproot India as well as consultancies with a creative edge like Sideways Consulting and Spring Marketing Capital.

This has helped me gain experience and create insightful work across established brands such as The Times of India, Mumbai Mirror, Volkswagen, Taco Bell, Audi, Borosil India, and Stayfree among others as well as new age start-ups like 82°E, Be Bodywise, Atomberg and Tata 1MG.

It also gave me the chance to work with a diverse group of people and create campaigns across various mediums ranging from print, radio and television to digital media including social platforms and influencer marketing.

Venturing into new territories, and creating work that is insightful and relatable, yet fresh, is what keeps me in the business. A Cannes Lions See It Be It alum, I believe in the power of female leadership and think that the best way to lead is to show up as the best version of yourself, work wise or just being a human wise.
